Sucky Weather

January 29th, 2007

The weather in Malaysia has been changing rapidly…some day rain like shit and some day just hot like hell. Just because of the sucky weather, I’ve been sick 2 times within 2 weeks, can you imagine that? Somemore I’m not in KL, it’s really terrible. Gosh..my throat feels like burning crusade already LOL……

My blog is Mobile/PDA friendly!

January 3rd, 2007

The recent slowdown for accessing websites in oversea is really annoying and the Malaysian government actually ask us to be responsible when we use the internet, such as only check our email, don’t surf large images website and even try not to connect to internet messenger such as Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Skype & etc.

Thanks to Alex King from alexking.org has provided a WordPress Mobile Edition for bloggers. When you’re accessing my blog using your PDA or mobile phone, just log into my site just as normal, and the browser in your device will detect if you’re on mobile, then it will switches the theme from what you see now to a smaller version. It also removes all headers, graphics and other heavy loading stuffs here. In short you only see texts. I guess it’s good enough.

The Power is in your hands…

January 2nd, 2007

This catchy phrase is taken from one of the teleco company in Malaysia for promoting their 3G service. The telco name is Celcom. Well there are people who refers it as SiaoCom (Siao - in hokkien means “Crazy”)

Celcom

I’ve subscribed to their unlimited plan where downloading and uploading is at no limit or whatsoever with the speed of 384 kbps. Well the connection is definitely better than dial up and it’s very pleasant for surfing the internet and playing online games (like WoW). The latency is about 600 ms to 800 ms was just a little laggier compare to streamyx.

Using my dedicated K610i to connect it to my notebook, I’m able to surf and play just like a normal broadband condition.

My K610i actually can do more than that, other than it has 3G capability, it also have a built in camera with 2 Megapixel which you can see from my previous blog that I’ve posted images taken from my K610i. It’s the lightest 3G phone available in the market now. Anyway, I’m just using it for data transmission.

But the recent earthquake in Taiwan , the internet in Asia is really affected and like a turtle crawling speed if we access websites in the US. So even if I have 3G, I still need to wait until the cable is restore under the sea only I can “enjoy” my 3G. Yeah, and that would take another 2-3 weeks from now.

Hello 2007, goodbye 2006!

January 1st, 2007

Another had passed, it’s been quite a rough year for me this year. However, I’ve managed to survived pretty well in year 2006. I hope I can do the same and improve for year 2007!

Here’s a flashback of what I’ve done for year 2006.

1. My blog started exactly a year back in 1st January 2006.

2. A major change in my career.

3. WoW ( A bit tak berwawasan, but I guess that’s where I spent most of my free time he he he…)

Finally, I think I’ve just discovered that I’m beginning to look older and older (no longer the young young teenager look anymore :( …)

My resolution is that I wish can achieve another major milestone in my life this year. What is that milestone I’m talking about? Let’s keep that as a secret now for me…until then, signing off for the first day of year 2007, my 1st anniversary for the birth of this blog!

ADIOS!

Goodbye to comment spaming shit!

December 28th, 2006

My blog was spammed by lots of unnecessary comments for the past few months. Deleting it is a pain in the neck thing. Yeah I know I can just select all and delete it, but then what if suddenly there’s somebody whom I knew and leave me a comment? Neh, anyway that won’t happen. LOL.

Here’s a sample of those bot spammers spamming comments in my blog.

Spam Comments

Anyway, I’ve installed a anti spam from Peter useful’s crap and thanks to his Version 2.6: Peter’s Custom Anti-Spam Image Plugin for Wordpress , I hope I can reduce those junks coming in. So basically if now you want to put a comment on my blog, all you need to do is to key in the image generated code to prove that you’re a real human posting an actual comment. I know this will not be 100% but it’s better than nothing.

Try out my new anti image spam comment :)

2006 Christmas Eve

December 27th, 2006

Yeah, I know it’s a little late to post this, then again, I’m too darn lazy to blog. Anyway, I’ve spend my whole day out during Christmas eve and it’s kinda crowded outside. Nothing special on that day, it’s just like another weekend for me.

Snap 2 pictures on the big Christmas tree in the middle of the concourse level at KLCC.

The pictures above is taken using K610i.

Windows Live Writer

October 31st, 2006

“As long as your going to be thinking anyway, think big.” - Donald Trump

Microsoft did it again! They had this Windows Live Writer where you can blog offline on your computer and later publish it into your website. Well, they do support no only windows live spaces by as well personal websites, blogspots, wordpress, etc…One of the great thing about this I guess is you can blog your stuff even without internet and when you have the access to the internet, just load it up! Anyway, I’m using the windows live writer to blog this. Again, this is still the beta version, it isn’t 100% perfect yet, but it’s good enough for beginner’s like me :).

Getting Old

September 4th, 2006

Although I hate the idea of taking picture of me, but I just can’t stop noticing that I’m getting old. Yeah I know it’s normal. Aging is for everyone but it’s just that it’s been a long time since I took a picture of myself and just doesn’t like my “OLD” look now…maybe I should try to get some skin care products to make myself feel younger..oh ya…not to mention, just to make myself happy by throwing money into the drain getting those products (doesn’t work anyway, I don’t think so in my opinion..).

Shit, I looked so exhausted and tired. Compare this with the one I’ve on the top (that was taken in year 2002), I felt that I’ve aged so much in just 4 years……I think you won’t see anymore of my hair by the time when you see the vision of 2020. I guess we really have to take care of our diet and also getting enough rest everyday will slow down our “aging” problem…..alright then, it’s time to sleep now…Night!
